A must-read correction

It's important that I get this out. Yesterday, I pulled this thing purportedly posted by Trump on Truth Social.

There are dozens of tweets on 'X' today also calling attention to it.

It may be a fake. It may be something posted, then pulled from Truth Social. I've only seen a handful of tweets refuting its authenticity.

So for the first time, I went to Truth Social to search. (more on that later)

I didn't find it there, so I have to, by default, assume it's a fake. One that faked out a lot of people, including people like myself who usually take extra efforts to verify things on social media.

There isn't a clear answer on this one but I'll apologize for posting it without a verification effort on my part. That was wrong even if it's ultimately determined that Donald Trump posted it.
