Liars & trials and frauds, oh my
A review of the status of multiple trials by multiple prosecutors across the country
On February 11, 2020 this Congressional testimony was provided about Jim Jordan, regarding the abuse that went on with the Ohio State wrestling team for many years by the team’s doctor.

There’s also a documentary about the infuriating scandal, with George Clooney a producer. I’m not sure if it’s been completed but it’s in the hands of HBO and HBO Max. Haven’t seen any media updates in more than a year.
But based on the public complaints by six of the wrestlers, who claim Jordan had heard complaints from several team members and chose not to take any action, I remain very disturbed by the thought that he could become House Speaker with the endorsement of another sexual predator, Donald Trump.
While some of Jordan’s accusers have had their own law violations, I’ll let you be the judge from this old story about the accusers and Jordan’s response. Additional details may be had here and here.
Friday was Day 5 of the Trump Org fraud trial. The former Controller of Trump Org testified that the CFO (Weissberg) had told him to commit fraud on multiple occasions and he complied out of fear of losing his job. Weissberg will appear in court next Tuesday to provide his testimony.
Trump did gain a temporary reprieve of the trial judge’s order to cancel the business licenses of the organization and family, but was rejected in his effort to cancel the ongoing bank fraud trial.
The poorly qualified appeals judge he appointed that has previously been deferential to Trump requests (but was overturned by a higher court) has also granted a temporary delay in the Georgia election fraud trial. But has not ruled on his attorneys’ efforts to get his scheduled May 2024 trial to after the 2024 election.
Delay, delay, delay appears to be the principal strategy being employed in every criminal trial he’s facing. If he can find a way to eke out an election win, he’s made it abundantly clear he’ll try to get every judge and prosecutor dismissed, defunded or jailed. This should also be abundantly clear to every judge considering his delay tactics.
»» Mr. Trump was asked about immigration and the Southern border.
He replied: “Nobody has any idea where these people are coming from, and we know they come from prisons. We know they come from mental institutions and insane asylums. We know they’re terrorists. Nobody has ever seen anything like we’re witnessing right now. It is a very sad thing for our country. It’s poisoning the blood of our country. It’s so bad, and people are coming in with disease. People are coming in with every possible thing that you could have.”
At campaign rallies, Mr. Trump has repeated that leaders of unspecified South American countries were releasing patients from mental hospitals to send as migrants to the United States, but fact checkers have found no evidence for the claim.««
The ‘poisoning the blood’ comment mirrors the claims of the Nazis in WW2. It’s racist, vile white supremacy stuff Hitler used to define Jews and others as subhuman, encouraging white Aryans to keep their blood racially ‘pure.’
Another research effort uncovered a HUD-then-State-Dept Trump appointee spent several years pushing anti-Jewish messages. Now he crusades against the media censorship of extremist rightwing groups that try to post lies, conspiracy theories and hate messaging.
Anyone got an example of any Democrat in the country doing similar things? I’m not asking for random claims so be sure to include links to any evidence. My research indicates these lies and hate messages remain solely Republican inventions.
Washington Post:
»>LANSING, Mich. — Michigan defendants accused of participating in a fake elector scheme will not have their charges dropped after the state attorney general said the group was “brainwashed” into believing former President Donald Trump won the 2020 election, a judge ruled Friday morning.
The decision comes after motions to dismiss charges were filed last week by two defendants, Clifford Frost and Mari-Ann Henry. The two defendants are part of a group of 16 Michigan Republicans who investigators say met following the 2020 election and signed a document falsely stating they were the state’s “duly elected and qualified electors.” Each of the 16 faces eight criminal charges, including multiple counts of forgery.
President Joe Biden won Michigan by nearly 155,000 votes, a result confirmed by a GOP-led state Senate investigation in 2021. «<
Their trials will undergo evidentiary hearings beginning October 12th before additional dismissal motions can be considered.
Michigan is one of 7 states where fake electors advanced their fraudulent claims, but is the only one where the fake electors face criminal charges.
Meanwhile the mystery of the suddenly large personal finances of Long Island Congressman George Santos is ending. In addition to a resume littered with so many lies that his actual name came into question, it appears he faked a personal loan to himself to qualify for funding from a campaign group, most likely the Republican Congressional Campaign Committee.
His campaign treasurer has pleaded guilty to a fraud conspiracy charge, but her attorney claims Santos masterminded reports of a series of fake loans that indicated his net worth expanded from $55,000 to more than a million dollars in a few months time.
Santos’ own investigation and prosecution is ongoing and it appears his attorneys will defend him by putting all the blame on his treasurer, while she will claim that Santos was the principal driver of the series of frauds.
The NY media was way behind the curve in reporting on all the lies Santos told during his campaign. I can’t recall a more egregious collection of fakeries in all of this country’s political history.
Today is the one year anniversary of the death of an outrageous comedian that was hysterically funny. I doubt any imitators will ever spawn again.
I forgot how funny she was. I was laughing so hard I was crying. Thank you for the funny memory.❤️
I missed the story about Judy Tenuta :(
