Midterms complete, so on with the holidays!

Midterm finale: It’ll likely be a 3 pt difference in the Georgia runoff race for US Senator with about a 98,000 vote margin, once the other 5% of Cobb County gets counted. I predicted a 4 pt race.

Now, the Democratic Senate Majority leader can appoint more Democrats to head the committees, giving more control over the committee agendas and what gets voted out to the floor.

The Supreme Court’s conservatives are a bit too interested in this case to assure any comfort about elections going forward so the questioning will be important to watch today.

If elections become the sole province of state legislatures, without state court oversight, our votes will be meaningless with 50 state autocracies deciding the outcomes.
