The party of Lincoln and Fake Jesus would kill them both again
Historian Heather Cox Richardson also covered the latest Herschel Walker scandal Tuesday night and another important Senate race:
The National Republican Senatorial Committee, organized to elect Republicans to the Senate, and the Senate Leadership Fund, a super PAC aligned with Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, both reaffirmed their support for Walker. They will continue to keep spending to boost his campaign. Still, concern about the outcome in Georgia has prompted the right-wing super PAC Club for Growth Action to plan a massive $2 million ad buy in Spanish for the Nevada senate race, backing Republican Adam Laxalt against Democratic senator Catherine Cortez Masto.
Dana Loesch, a former spokesperson for the National Rifle Association and a former writer and editor for the right-wing media outlet Breitbart, made the position of party leadership clear: “I don’t care if Herschel Walker paid to abort endangered baby eagles,” she said. “I want control of the Senate.”
Principles, shminciples. The morality plays are a convenient conjob when it’s absolute power they’re after, typically to line their own pockets instead of, you know, being a representative public servant of all the citizens.
And the girlfriend of Walker who agreed to get an abortion? She’s the mother of one of his previously hidden kids. And she’s speaking up against his candidacy, ever louder. And Walker’s poll numbers are dropping. There are debates ahead. He will lose those, badly.
But Walker still could win because a lying, cheating, wife-beating, concussion-woozy thief of human rights for women can win in the GOP. That’s what they are and what they stand for unapologetically.
Dana Loesch: “I don’t care if Herschel Walker paid to abort endangered baby eagles,” she said. “I want control of the Senate.”
Loesch also called the mother of Walker’s kid a ‘skank’.
Heather Cox Richardson’s take on the newest SCOTUS judge is also an important read.
Meanwhile, back at the head con…
The ex-President is afraid of the heinies of Black Americans. And his race hatred extends to Asian Americans, too.
He’s also filed a lawsuit against CNN for reporting about him. Just the usual diversionary stuff so voters won’t be focused on his crimes so much.
And he’s made an appeal to the Supremes about his document theft since his chosen Special Master isn’t being the obedient lapdog he was trying for. Among the documents he tried to keep are the self-described Love Letters from Kim Jong-Un. They read like the North Korean leader was playing him. After all, Kimmy just fired a nuclear-capable missile over Japan Tuesday, ending the pretense that he wanted to denuclearize his country, per his ‘Love Letter’ to Con Don.
The already compromised Justice Thomas has obliged him again by giving the Department of Justice till Tuesday, October 11 to respond to the ex-President’s latest delay tactic. So we’ll soon see how willing the he and the other 5 conservatives on the court are to reduce the legitimacy of the high court to zero.
Thomas has a well established track record of refusing to comply with financial disclosure laws and will refuse to recuse himself from any case that involves his insurrection supporting two-time cult worshipping wife.
On the other hand, Chief Justice John Roberts’ dream has been the creation of a racially neutral legal system that refuses all efforts at redress for slavery, segregation, the destruction of Black families, the homicides committed by white nationalists that include lynchings and church bombings, race-based gerrymandering, the denial of voting rights and real estate redlining. For hundreds of years of violence and discrimination, he wants to White-Out the crimes and Black-Out remedial justice for 47 million American citizens.
Again, that’s why it’s important to read what Heather wrote about Justice Ketanji Jackson’s fresh definition of ‘originalism’.
On a lighter note, Greene’s husband filed for divorce so one of Twitter’s funniest couldn’t resist the burn…
