Let's see:
24' x 32" Raised Garden bed built and planted. Both yards in the duplex mowed, trimmed and weeded. Over $500 invested.
100 extra veggie plants sold. Had to use up those seed packets somehow.
Masses of blackberries removed from taxi driver friend's yard, two raised beds added plus lots more to ensure blackberries stay gone (crossing my fingers). Taxi driver had a heart valve replaced in January. Over $500 invested. In return, I get a free ride to Portland next week as I head to the memorial celebration for Marlene, who took total possession of my heart.
That and airfare ate my stimulus check and more.
Several trips to super friend's home to sort and pack and run a yard sale for his belongings or moved them to storage. (Friend moved in with his family due to major health issue.)
Cleaning and moving my tools and other boxes to storage to get loft bedroom presentable so it can be rented to next roommate. Have to find another by July 1st. A good one.
Helped locate and transport furniture for the roommate who moved out.
Three Dr. visits and a specialist appt in the past 10 days for entirely new health concern. Another test scheduled for July 1.
This is why I've been largely absent online for the past 8 weeks.
Next week comes the 5 day trip to Tennessee for the celebration.
Also dropped 35 lbs.
So yeah, extremely busy, feeling pretty good after a hellish winter. Wish everyone was feeling good.
I do feel guilty b/c I've faltered considerably with the newsletter. After this trip, I'll be fastidious about it and will add about 5 weeks to every paid subscriber to ensure that none are cheated. I sincerely apologize for that. Lots of unpredictable things just snowballed on me.
I really won’t get to rest till I return mid June. Will have more to sort and move to storage. I expect by June 15, I’ll just have to water plants and write.
What's new in your world?
"Three Dr. visits and a specialist appt in the past 10 days for entirely new health concern. Another test scheduled for July 1."
How many times to I have to tell you.... this is NOT A CONTEST! No extra points for extra health problems!
<just giving you a hard time.....!>
Things here could hardly be better, if one ignores the frightful lack of snow in the mountains, the dismal levels of water in our local reservoirs, and the fire season that apparently has already started, and it's not even summer yet.
Oh... and the apparent inability of a certain national political party to convince one of its members that, honestly, it might be more important to pass crucial legislation immediately than it is to satisfy his desire for continued employment.
Hope your health thing resolves satisfactorily!
Missed you, but hey, life happens. Just moved and adjusting to new place, trying to get organized, and so on. Always a pleasure to hear from you, no matter when. N xxx
