Typhoid Tucker surrenders Americans in their War
I'll harp on this theme till the victory parades occur
India’s new cases of Covid-19 surpassed the old world record - around 303,000/day - held by the US a couple of weeks ago. Wednesday, India reached more than 412,000 new cases in one day, likely well below the real case total. Their healthcare system has collapsed. People are dying in line waiting to get into their hospitals. Emergency oxygen is being sent from other countries and there’s been reports of oxygen arriving too late, with people dying of covid and other illnesses requiring oxygen.
Many, knowing hospital access is unlikely, stay home, die there, and don’t get recorded as covid patients or covid fatalities. Dire doesn’t begin to cover the scope of the nightmare India’s population is undergoing.
The Biden administration and other governments support lifting patent protections on the vaccines so they can be manufactured cheaper and rushed to India or anywhere in the world, to limit such terrible outcomes.
Meanwhile, Tucker Carlson on Fox News is taking raw and unverifiable data and claiming that the covid vaccines are killing 30 people a day.
From the VAERS system he claims provided this data is this disclaimer:
The information is provided by people with no context about what the theoretical dead people died of. Covid? Vaccines? Old age? Car accident? Their disclaimer makes it clear that the numbers don't produce any data that can be verified for accuracy or causation.
What can be verified is Tucker Carlson intends to convince skeptical people that the vaccines are deadlier than previous vaccines. In doing so, he will cause more to avoid vaccination so more people will contract covid, more will gain long term effects that scar lungs and impact brains, and more will die.
Typhoid Tucker is a menace to all civilized societies.
Meanwhile, in the US, most states that saw a Spring 2021 bounce upward from 1 to 6 weeks, are now settling back down.
As of May 5th, Washington still appears to be on an upward trajectory, along with Oregon.
Colorado looks like it’s begun to reverse its rise, though it won’t be clear till the Friday reports come in.
New Jersey and Indiana might also be on an upward trajectory now among the 16 states reporting more than 800 cases/day.
Kentucky, Missouri, Louisiana, West Virginia, Kansas, Arkansas, might have begun rising among the 22 states recording 200 to 799 cases per day, though the week to week rises are small enough not to be worrisome as yet.
So overall, it’s looking pretty positive in the US, just as it does in most countries. The vaccines are making a considerable impact though herd immunity in the US may not be achievable because of the propaganda of anti-vaxxers like Typhoid Tucker, along with the general sense of many people under 50 that the risks to them are too small to bother.
I have too many younger friends who have recurring health issues from covid to agree with that low risk belief. (7 that I’m aware of).
The facts are pretty simple: the vaccines are provably safe for more than 99.5% of the people who’ve received them. However, with a giant country like India dealing with such a massive outbreak, that provides room for ongoing virus mutations to occur that could come back to bite every other country in the ass by next autumn.
The medical researchers have done outstanding work so far in developing these vaccines, and are working on variations to stay ahead of fresh mutations. They do not get lauded enough, in part because of politicians and political propagandists like their waterboy Carlson.
And as Pfizer runs ads on the Fox network, maybe they need to rethink their advertising strategy.
Addendum: Florida’s Governor DeSantis has long refuted the work of the scientists in thwarting the viral spread. But for a comparative study, California reached a peak near 62,000 cases/day on December 16 and has fallen to below 2,400 cases/day in May. It has the largest population of any state in the country (approximately 40 million).
Florida is the third largest state (approximately 22 million).
In California, 49% are fully vaccinated. Florida is 27th in the states, with 42% fully vaccinated. It hit its peak on January 1st of 21,000 cases/day. But unlike California’s steady decline over 4-1/2 months, Florida rebounded upward for 30 days from mid-March to mid-April. So CA = 62K to 2.,400 in 4-1/2 months, while FL = 21K to 5,400 in 4 months, which now leads the country (with a population that’s a mere 55% of California’s).
California currently has the 9th most cases in the country because its governor and big city mayors have more closely adhered to the scientific recommendations and has done a far better job getting its citizens vaccinated.
Also: progress against the mutants.
