You have the Right to Remain Violent
Anything you prey can and will be vilified in a court of law
While the intent of the second amendment is clear, it remains pragmatically unsound. Your tommy gun will likely prove insufficient against an army possessing a nuclear bomb. Or shoulder mounted rocket launchers, bunker busters, Stealth jets, tanks and the like. I do not write, however, to berate the Founders for their lack of imagination on the evolution of arms nor to quarrel with the right they intended for peaceable citizens to remain free and secure in their homes via the use of deadly force.
Since that Right was defined, weaponry has changed, the definition of free men has expanded to include women and BIPOCs and so far, no government has directly attacked us except slave patrols, the National Guard and cops. So clearly their intent has been vindicated by the evidence that our government has been kept at bay by your possession of a slingshot and a smartphone though our government also has been awarded the Right to murder you if you happen to hold one in your hand, if you recently held one or if you’re holding a toy one. They also get the right to justify murdering you for all manner of dubious reasonings while proclaiming justice has prevailed, though sometimes they pay monetary damages to your surviving family if they’re properly armed with a good attorney.
In the past year, we’ve seen several examples of how well their Original plan has worked out. One free militia of good citizens came very close to kidnapping a governor, intending to rape and execute her. In January, thousands of peaceable citizens showed up with the intent of blocking Congress from doing its job, not to resist a tyrant but to overthrow the lawful government at the behest of a tyrant attempting to deny the decision of a majority of the populace. Several organized militias within that crowd of enlightened patriots were properly armed to do so but ultimately failed because a few Capitol police officers successfully hid more than 539 people. The Founders clearly should have insisted on another Right for the People to Win every game of Hide and Seek.

>> The United States has suffered at least 47 mass shootings since March 16, when eight people were killed at three Atlanta-area spas, according to CNN reporting and an analysis of data from the Gun Violence Archive (GVA), local media, and police reports.
The 47 include the Kenosha County shooting and a mass shooting Saturday evening in Columbus, Ohio, that left one person dead and five others injured, according to CNN affiliate WSYX.
CNN's definition of a mass shooting is an event that has four victims who are either killed or wounded by gunfire (not including any shooter). <<

47 in 35 days is quite impressive and there’s been at least two more in the 40 hours since that was written. Everyone must feel so much more secure in their homes knowing they were properly protected from the threats to their persons and properties that the 235+ dead and wounded posed.
And with so many millions of armed civilians possessing multiple arsenals in our Free Nation it’s especially noteworthy how rarely are they present when the shootings start. Through the years, there have been a few exceptions. But mostly it’s gone exactly as the wise Founders intended: every free man with a grudge, every sociopath, every inebriated guy with a history of intermittent violence, every political partisan convinced there are pedophile rings in pizza parlors or the pink skin of their descendants might be jeopardized if they choose to breed with a POC has every right to own and use a gun for whatever.
Tom Toles, published in The Washington Post, 2010
A free Black man or woman, though, has no right to possess an air freshener hanging from a rearview mirror, has no right to jog through a construction site, to walk through Central Park, to fall asleep in their car, to be high on any substance nor even walk through a neighborhood bearing a bag of Skittles. Just because the founders failed to note these specifics means somebody committed a clerical error as any originalist scholar can ascertain. They meant to include all that but they were in a hurry that day and simply forgot.
They also intended for future gunsellers to create an organization that initially taught people to use guns safely that would later become a SuperPAC whose primary mission was to utilize fearful predictions that would stimulate more sales of weaponry. The Right to secure Profit by telling everyone ‘The Democrats will take away all your guns’ for the past 30 years has enriched them greatly, just like Alexander Hamilton wanted.
And, for those still lagging behind in their Constitutional studies, here‘s a few perfect Cliff Notes to catch them up to the True Patriots.
Your rights to peacefully assemble and to free speech and to a free press can only be deployed when you’re in the gunsights of someone - as noted by Will Bunch. And by Adrianna Rodriguez. And yes, even kids have rights too, yanno, as the staff of KHOU-11 explained.
We live in one of the world’s most violent societies. If you don’t like it, well, you can just leave and find someplace freer, less racist and more peaceful. There’s quite a few good ones to choose from.
But even there, true equality in freedoms can only be achieved one way.
Those Lehrer videos are priceless. I was of course reminded of Randy Newman's "Political Science."
What's not so commonly known is that, even now, we are still only 20 minutes or so away from mass annihilation. The only changes I'm aware of are the reduction in warheads (we can only destroy the earth one zillion times over instead of ten zillion times.) The missiles, land based but even more sub based, are still pointed at enough folks to do the job. But somehow, no one seems to think it's true. They think it's all in the past. "Thank goodness that's all behind us!"
And it's not. We're living it everyday, only mostly in ignorance.
