I wait for some judge to declare all treaties between the US and other nations unconstitutional (didn't Washington warn against "foreign entaglements"?) as well as maintaining a standing army. (George Washington to Alexander Hamilton, April 4, 1783 "A standing army is one of the greatest mischiefs that can possibly happen." James Madison, Debates, Virginia Convention, 1787 "Standing armies are dangerous to liberty." ) And, of course, they were all against political parties until some of them formed them....

Yes, excellent points, Steve. They favor originalism only when it fits the conservative policies that make their private thingies tingle, like exploiting working people and subsidizing CEOs.
