(Hey fam, if you don’t like my choice of pictures or descriptions, notify me and I’ll edit. With an audience that rarely surpasses 100, I don’t think there’s cause for concern unless you look too dweeby in the pics selected. Okay? So shut up.)
For me, an 11 day vacation is unheard of. Most of my jobs offered no paid vacation at all. So you gotta indulge me here. The pics came from multiple phones of various attendees, various lighting levels, etc. I apologize to any family who may not find their shot(s) flattering. The older photos provide more context.
Seventeen years ago, many of the folks who joined in our 2022 Thanksgiving can be seen here. The two in front, flanking my Mum, are cousins to each other. Their granddad, my brother Mark, is the tall guy in the back row, far right.
The same pair that flanked my Mum (Jules and Cal) plus Jules’ younger sister, Katie. Also an old pic.
The hosts for Thanksgiving this year (below), my eldest sister and her husband of 57 years. Bill served in the military in the early Vietnam era, before a long career in banking. Sharon was an RN, a nurse administrator and founded a local food bank. They’re also extremely active in that secretive global cabal, the Masonic Order. (You have to promise not to tell anyone or you know what could happen to Y-O-U. Shh!)
My daughter, Danielle, flew in the same day I did. Largely independent at 17, now 37, she manages the central office and handles the accounting for a commercial painting contractor. She headed out to visit Wisconsin family for the actual holiday.
The tots - Jules & Katie - matured. Their mother, Sarah, hasn’t. She’s one of those dangerous librarians. And a musician.
Sarah’s husband, Carmen (below) the professional musician, in a rare serious moment. He’s also in the military, defending our shores from importers of bad coffee beans.
That’s more like it. All the musicians in the family, including Mark, providing special effects in the background.
Sharon & Bill’s youngest, Jason, with excellent skills in the biotech industry. His wife, Nicole, was in finance prior to her work in public education. Also part of the Masonic Order (ZIP THAT LIP, mmmkay?)
The only pic I got of their son, Brian, before he headed out back to Maine.
Brother Mark, a retired building contractor. And his partner, Lorri, who's the head honcho of a rather large Housing Authority.
The Librarian (Sarah), the Radiology Tech (her sister, Liz) and the Airlines Pilot (Matt, Liz’s fiance).
I can you had a great time. What a great looking family. Safe travels.
BTW My dad was a Mason and I was a Rainbow Girl for a hot minute.😁
Hopefully you’ll see photos of my family next year.
